Built by an OD who needed to get home
I became a partner at Grant Optometric Group in 2019 and purchased SALT Optometry in 2022. For years, I was buried in the operational side of running two practices — inventory spreadsheets, fixing quoting mistakes, training new opticians, tracking down billing errors discovered weeks after they happened.
When my daughter Sloan was born in 2025, something shifted. I was spending more time in that chaos than I was spending at home. I didn't need more staff. I needed smarter systems.
FrameIQ was first. It scores every frame in my optical, identifies dead stock, and tells me what to reorder and what to cut. Hours of inventory management compressed into minutes.
OpticianIQ came next. I tracked our VSP quoting errors — $500/month per location in mistakes. I tried Practice Pal and MaximEyes. The math was wrong every time. So I built a system where AI reads the authorization, and a math engine validated against 200+ real claims calculates the exact patient cost.
These tools now live under OptometryIQ — a company I co-founded with Bryce Baker. We built them for our own practices first. Now they're available to yours.
